See the Future of Music

As part of a recent Monthly Music Hackathon series in Brooklyn, programmers and hackers gathered for ten hours to build “music visualizations” in order to give people a glimpse into how they will be visually interpreting music as technology progresses.

The above image features software created by Ari Russo called VZ which reacts to live music and projects 3D visuals onto a performer as he plays.

With concert revenues become more critical to an artist’s financial success, enhancements to live performance will only become more important.
